Waliuz Zaman, FCCA

I am an FCCA-qualified accountant with over 15 years’ experience working in leadership roles across finance, systems, and organisational improvement. I am passionate about using AI and technology to simplify finance, improve processes, and help businesses work smarter.

One of the greatest sources of fulfilment in my work is seeing a business move from a place of struggle, uncertainty, or overwhelm to a position of clarity, confidence, and success, knowing that the impact I have made has, in some part, helped them get there.

Throughout my career, I have supported charities, not-for-profit organisations, and housing associations to strengthen their finance functions, improve reporting, enhance governance, and make better use of accounting systems. In senior roles, I have helped organisations move away from inefficient manual processes and towards clearer, more structured ways of working; creating systems that improve decision-making, accountability, and long-term sustainability.

I enjoy helping organisations systemise the way they work, strengthen their foundations, and create space for business owners and leaders to focus on growth, purpose, and the things they love.

Beyond my professional life, I am deeply passionate about making a positive impact in the world, particularly for those less fortunate than myself. I actively support charitable causes in the UK and abroad, whether through volunteering, helping gather supplies to be shipped overseas, fundraising, or taking part in challenges such as community running events and climbing Mount Snowdon.

Outside of work and volunteering, I am a proud Liverpool fan and love attending football matches, nothing quite compares to the atmosphere inside a football stadium. I also enjoy travelling, exploring different cultures, and visiting historical sites around the world, which continue to broaden my perspective and appreciation of people, places, and stories.
